CCTV-5 NBA Schedule Is Coming
Many blog readers have logged in looking for CCTV-5′s schedule for televising the NBA playoffs from the United States. It’s a shame that CCTV doesn’t appear to have an English-language website with their broadcast schedule accessible for non-Chinese speakers. Another limitation of their system is that they publish their broadcast schedule to their website Monday through Sunday, and then update the schedule for the next week. So if it’s Sunday, April 30 and you want to know the schedule for Monday, May 1 (or any day after that), you have to wait until the 1st to find out. It’s a major limitation of their system, and one that I hope they get around to fixing soon.
I’ll be able to translate the schedule into English soon for all of the NBA diehards who have discovered the China Sports Blog in recent days. I’m on a pretty slow Internet connection at an otherwise lovely Sydney Public Library at Customs House in Circular Quay at the moment, but I’ll try to access CCTV’s website tonight to see if I can get some information for you. In the meantime you can check out the NBA’s home page for game time details, and remember that CCTV-5 broadcasts NBA games live, so you can always check them out at tip-off time and see what’s on.
